Mother's Helps They will perform more general household duties such as household laundry and cleaning but will not have such direct contact with the child/children as a nanny would have. Qualifications and experience may vary. Maternity Nurses They will generally work live-in or live-out, six days a week 24 hours per day, or an 8-12 hour shift days or nights. She will be on call to the baby through the night do all the baby's laundry and any other duties concerning the baby, mother and Nursery.
